PAWEM Welcomes MSD Richard T. Clark Global Health Fellows to Support Building Community, Youth, and Community Networks on Climate Change and Health risks among Vulnerable Communities
The Patient and Community Welfare Foundation of Malawi (PAWEM) is honoured to welcome Kelly ,Suwan ,Sahil and Kimberly to Malawi on this day of 1 August 2026.During their stay, The Team will work alongside PAWEM and local communities in Chikwawa to advance climate change initiatives that empower young people and strengthen community resilience.
Fellows participation in the fellowship marks the fulfilment of a long-held aspiration.
During their time in Chikwawa, the team will work closely with PAWEM, youth groups,disabled,women and community members to promote climate resilience, environmental sustainability, and locally driven solutions that address the impacts of climate change. The collaboration aligns with PAWEM's commitment to advocating for effective and efficient health and social care systems while supporting sustainable community development.
Speaking about the opportunity,one of the fellows, Kelly expressed her gratitude and excitement, describing as an opportunity to explore the Country and see other opportunities for the benefit of the Communities.
